Who we are
VisaPlex (“VisaPlex”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides general information on New Zealand and international visa pathways and an AI-assisted planning workspace (AVA), together with licensed immigration adviser review. VisaPlex is operated by Ava Sanchez-Neal, a licensed immigration adviser (LIA 200900809).
We are the agency responsible for the personal information collected through this website, and we handle it in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.
Information we collect
You do not have to provide personal information, but if you choose not to, we may be unable to respond to your enquiry or provide a review. We collect information you give us and some collected automatically:
- Enquiry and lead details — such as your name, email address, phone number, country, and the details you share about your situation when you submit a form or request an adviser review.
- Planning workspace information — details you enter into the AVA workspace to organise your circumstances.
- Usage and device information — such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type, collected through analytics and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- respond to your enquiry and provide the information you ask for;
- carry out a licensed adviser review of how immigration rules may apply to your situation, where you request one;
- operate, maintain and improve the website and the AVA workspace;
- meet our professional, legal and regulatory obligations, including those of a licensed immigration adviser.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated purposes without your consent.
Disclosure of your information
We may share your personal information with trusted service providers who help us operate the website, communications and workspace (for example, hosting, email and analytics providers), and only so far as needed for them to perform those services.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or with your consent — for example, to Immigration New Zealand as part of an immigration application you ask us to assist with. Some providers may store data outside New Zealand; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable privacy safeguards apply.
Storage and security
We hold personal information in secure systems and take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, and then dispose of it securely.
Accessing and correcting your information
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to request that we correct it if it is wrong. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
